Event description

Join us for a special cupping event to taste the fresh harvest from Zukuka Bora Coffee Company – before it even lands in Australia.

We’ll be joined by special guest Robby Keen, one of the founding directors of Zukuka Bora, who’ll walk us through the project’s journey and insights into the impact it's having on the Ugandan coffee industry.

Zukuka Bora is a social enterprise based in the highlands of Mt Elgon, Uganda – co-founded and funded by Commonfolk Coffee Company and our charity The Cup That Counts. With a focus on paying fairly, supporting farmer livelihoods, and producing exceptional coffee, this is your chance to taste something special and hear the story behind it from someone who’s been there since day one.

What to expect

  • Guided cupping of the fresh Zukuka Bora harvest
  • Exclusive first tastes ahead of the May arrival
  • Q&A with Robby about the harvest, the team, and the future of partnership coffee
  • Snacks generously donated by the legends at Butterken Bakery
  • A chance to connect with fellow coffee lovers, baristas, and roasters

Who it’s for

Anyone keen to deepen their understanding of sourcing, sustainability, and what it takes to bring incredible coffee from farm to cup – from home brewers and baristas to green buyers and roasters.

How to attend

This is a free event, but please RSVP so we can plan for numbers.
