Event description
Investigate the adaptations and interdependencies that enable Little Penguins to survive within a marine ecosystem.
This Zoos Victoria digital program supports the Science curriculum and is free for all Victorian schools. It includes a 30-minute online workshop and an optional teaching guide filled with classroom activities.
While not a tour of the zoo, online workshops give you direct access to a Zoo Teacher and unique content. Each workshop is hosted on Zoom. You will not need a webcam or microphone – type your questions into the Q&A box.
Students will learn:
- Little Penguin adaptations that enhance survival and enable life to exist in a range of environments
- Survival through interdependencies between species and populations within an ecosystem
- How to collect and analyse real datasets
- How to extend scientific inquiry skills
Online workshops are held on four Wednesdays in 2023 from 11:30am-12:00pm, and will have the same format and content each time.
