Description

• Support yourself and others to identify and respond to problematic behaviours.

• An interactive prevention workshop for students, addressing:

o attitudes that drive gender-based violence, and

o actions we can all take to change culture.

Join Jo McNamara, a specialist in sexual harm, in this free 3-hour (face-to-face) workshop aiming to empower students as active, ethical bystanders in responding to sexual harm and its precursors.

A bystander takes proactive steps to prevent, intervene or help when inappropriate behaviour occurs. Options and safety will be a key consideration in this training, and examples / discussion will cover scenarios from everyday sexism through to unwelcome touch and (importantly) incidents facilitated by alcohol.

A free light lunch will be provided.

Students can also claim this training toward the Adelaide Graduate Award (AGA).
