All details below! Limited Spots Available!

What to Expect

⚠️ Entry to the event is a separate cost. This ticket covers your workshop seat only.

20 Minute Workshop Overview:

This is a fast-paced beginner workshop — not a precision class. You’ll have one main attempt at your piece, and that’s part of the experience. Our advice: Embrace the imperfections and have fun.
Please show up prepared by reading everything below! See you at the torch!

  • Show Up 5 minutes Early:
We cannot accommodate late arrival as classes run on a strict schedule. Please plan for parking and walking delays.

    More info below.

  • Check-In:
For check-in all we need is the Name on the Ticket(s). Once confirmed, each participant signs a waiver — a parent or guardian must sign for anyone under 18.
All loose belongings will go in our storage bins. Long hair must be tied back. Everyone gets a pair of safety glasses.

  • Choose Your Design and Colors (Photos in Gallery Below):
Pick one of 5 designs to make; Leaf, Heart, Twisty, Pickle or Medallion
Choose 2 colors from 28 options to personalize your piece.

Skulls and Cups are not options for the workshop!

  • Safety Briefing:
Before anyone touches a torch, you must go through a quick safety briefing. Pay attention — it matters.

  • Melt and Shape Your Piece:
This is your moment! You’ll get your own torch and workstation. Paired with one other student, your instructor guides both of you step by step through making your piece.
At the end, your instructor adds the loop so it can be worn as a necklace.

  • Cool Down and Pick-Up:
Now your instructor will put your finished piece in vermiculite to cool for about 20 minutes.
You’ll get a pickup code based on your class time and workstation.
Come back in 20, give us your code, and you’ll leave with your pendant, a necklace, and gift bag.

Safety Overview:

Working with hot glass carries some inherent risk of injury. This experience uses an open flame at temperatures over 2,000° F. It’s hands-on and requires good finger dexterity and the ability to stand for up to 30 minutes.

Other things to consider:

  • Closed-toe shoes recommended

  • Long hair must be tied back

  • No loose or dangling clothing or accessories

  • Participants must arrive sober and ready to follow all safety instructions

  • Waiver required — guardian signature required for participants under 18

  • We reserve the right to turn away anyone who poses a safety risk to themselves or others

Refund Policy:

No refunds will be issued unless the event is cancelled. Exceptions may be considered case by case at our discretion.

FAQs

  • When should I arrive for my session?

Please plan for parking delays and added time for locating the booth. Please be at the booth 10 minutes early to allow time for checking in, signing your waiver, and getting ready.
Late arrivals may miss part or all of the experience.

  • What’s the minimum age?

Participants must be 10 years or older. Everyone under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver and be present the whole time.

  • Do I need experience to participate?

Nope! No experience needed. We’ll guide you step-by-step through melting, shaping, and creating your own glass pendant.

You can know nothing about glass and still leave with something you made yourself — Guaranteed.

  • What if I have a disability or need accommodations?

Although we do our best to accommodate everyone, there are some requirements for taking the class safely.

Every student must be able to:

    • See well about 2ft in front of you (You can wear glasses)

    • Stand without support for at least 30 minutes

    • Hold and rotate a glass rod in both hands simultaneously

  • How long does the workshop take?

Each workshop session is about 20 minutes. After you finish making your piece, it will need about more 20 minutes to cool before you can pick it up.

  • What can I make?

You'll choose from these 5 pendant designs: Leaf, Heart, Pickle, Twisty, or Medallion — then pick your 2 favorite glass colors from 28 options!

Please refer to the photos in our gallery!

  • What safety rules should I know about?

Safety first — always! All safety equipment is provided as part of the class and there will be a safety briefing before you can play with the fire!

Please consider the following before coming to class:

    • Closed-toe shoes recommended (no sandals or flip-flops)

    • Avoid loose, baggy sleeves or clothing

    • Long hair must be tied back

    • Participants must be sober and alert

    • Waiver required before participating

  • Will I actually be "blowing" glass?

No — and that’s the best part!

At Ikonic Glass, we work with solid glass for a safer and more hands-on experience.

Instead of blowing, you'll melt, twist, stretch, and shape your molten glass using fire, tools, and your own hands.

  • How dangerous is the class?

As long as you follow the safety rules, and listen to your instructor, you’ll be safe! That said, we work with real fire and molten glass — it’s exciting, but it comes with real risks, such as:

    • Participants will be in close proximity to flames and hot equipment.

    • Burns, cuts, and heat exposure are possible if safety rules are not followed.

    • Our instructors are there to guide and monitor for maximum safety.

    • By signing up, you agree to follow all instructions carefully and respect the safety guidelines at all times.

  • The kids did EVERYTHING!

These guys are absolutely amazing. I had no idea our kids would be doing as much as they did. I figured they’d be watching someone else make the glass. The kids did EVERYTHING! Can't recommend enough!
