Experience an insightful, survivor-led discussion following the screening, exploring healing and recovery from child sexual abuse through the transformative lenses of arts, health, and justice.
This compelling documentary follows eight female and gender diverse survivors of childhood sexual abuse as they embark on a groundbreaking recovery program. Combining the strength of boxing with the vulnerability of creative writing, the program empowers survivors to release trauma, reclaim their bodies and reimagine their futures.

The post-screening Q&A, moderated by Ballarat based artist, survivor-advocate and researcher Lauren Matthews, features:
Dr Donna Lyon - Filmmaker, researcher, producer of the Left Write Hook documentary and founder of the Left Write Hook charity & program.
Dr Shannon Owen - Documentary filmmaker, researcher and director of the Left Write Hook documentary.
Lauren - Survivor advocate and participant of the groundbreaking Left Write Hook program and documentary.
Dr Dave McDonald - Senior Lecturer in Criminology, University of Melbourne, whose research work examines child sexual abuse and survivor-led truth-telling responses.
Katrina Bevelander - Senior Operations Director of the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault, and a Social Worker with over 25 years as an advocate for systemic change in the family and sexual violence fields.
