Farshans on the Field - Official Nup to the Cup Party and Protest

Exciting news! This year the official Nup to the Cup party is happening indoors at the bowls club opposite Flemington racecourse on Cup Day. (No more braving Melbourne's unpredictable weather ⛈️☀️🌦️)
For the 8th year running the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses and Tenfingerz are joining forces to bring you the official Nup to the Cup event - Farshans on the Field!
Come protest the Cup! And show regular racegoers what cruelty-free fun looks like. There will be music, there will be bowls, there will be Farshans on the Field aka Human Races. Prizes to be won!
PROTEST INFO:
The protest will still happen on the corner of Newmarket Reserve, opposite Flemington Racecourse. (same place it always happens). NB: no ticket required to attend.
Picket signs provided. 🪧
You are welcome to attend just the picket line, or come and go from the party as you please.
PARTY INFO:
This is now happening in the bowls club on the edge of Newmarket Reserve.
There will be bands and DJs indoors; and bowls and Farshans on the Field (aka the human races) on the bowling green.
There will be a door fee to help cover costs. Ticket required or pay at the door if not sold out prior.

10AM: Protest starts
11AM: Entertainment at bowls club starts
12PM: Dj Brontesaurus Sex (inside til 3pm)
1.30PM: Playlunch (live inside)
Farshans on the Field races start
3PM: The main event – THE HUMAN RACE – same time as the official Melbourne Cup.
3.20PM: DJ Jen Moore (outside til 6pm)
3:45PM: The Tarantinos (live inside)
6PM: Finish
Drinks at bar. No BYO inside bowls club.
