ACID BLEED

Acid Bleed is a 5 piece jazz band playing a mean blend of Hot Gypsy Swing Jazz infused with a spicy Latin Groove. The repertoire spans gypsy  to latin and classic jazz standards and also  plucky and funky originals. All members are local to the far north coast region of NSW.

In the 15 years since formation they have played numerous gigs and festivals locally and interstate as well as international tours in Hong Kong and in New Zealand at the 2022 & 2023 & 2024 Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival.

They released  a limited edition Album in 2016 which has since sold out.

Jimmy Chiu is on modern electric Spanish / Gypsy style guitar. He will dazzle you with his devilishly fast fingers. And that’s even before he picks up the guitar. Also watch out for his quirky dirty dancing.

On lead Electric guitar is Adam Blenkhorn.  His feisty playing  and devilishly good looks have  been known to cause palpitations. Hold on to your pacemakers and your jewellery. First Aid will be provided by Adam  if necessary.                                    

Josh (Big Wood) Kirk  is on upright bass. He is a collector of fine  double basses and fast cars and is otherwise a great student of the Human Condition.

Dave Hirst is on drums / percussion and manacles. He keeps the band in line with his percussive and persuasive methods.

Andrew Horowitz plays tenor and soprano saxophones and electric violin. He just can’t make up his mind.  We hope you have loads of fun and fast funky times with Acid Bleed.
