Uluru Statement from the Heart - Closed community session
Event description
Have you heard about the Uluṟu Statement in the media, but don’t really know what it’s all about?
Do you want to know the basics so you can have an informed conversation with your friends and family, and prepare for the referendum?
Come along to our community information session and learn what it’s all about from a panel of First Nations representatives from the Uluṟu Youth Dialogue and Uluṟu Statement campaign.
When: Friday 10 February 2023
Time:Â 10am - 12pm
Where: Wagga Wagga City Council – Council Meeting Room, Wiradjuri Country
Please note: This is a closed yarn, First Nations community members only.
We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to come along to Thursday’s information session, then go home, yarn with your mob, mull it over, and then bring your feedback and questions to the closed yarn.Â
This will be a respectful, culturally safe space to explore what the Uluṟu Statement would mean to First Nations communities.
A light morning tea will be provided.
