Clariloops + Tom Barton
Event description
This October, get your fill of beautiful dreaming music at Fyansford Paper Mill - in a series of sublime Saturday shows curated by vocalist, multi instrumentalist and producer IKSRE.
Every Saturday in October, 4pm to 6pm
As the weather gets more golden, join us for a warm-toned afternoon at one (or all) of these superb, family-friendly shows.
Ruby Ester Mae is the creative force behind the project Clariloops, where she masterfully blends the organic warmth of the clarinet with the immersive depth of electronic and synthesised soundscapes. With a background in classical music and a passion for ambient electronic music, Ruby creates compositions that are both rhythmic and calming, offering listeners a unique auditory experience that bridges the gap between the acoustic and digital realms. Her music, characterised by its tranquil yet dynamic nature, transcends traditional genre boundaries, inviting listeners into a world that is at once familiar and refreshingly original.
Tom Barton is an adventurous and multifaceted vocalist. His music was heralded by The Weekend Australian as “poetry in motion with beautifully clear-headed vocals.” Tom’s unique work is acclaimed for its diverse stylistic reimagining, seamless blurring of acoustic and electronic boundaries, live looping and processing, and masterful and moving vocal performances. Tom has worked with Barney McAll, The RAaH Project, Audrey Powne, Claire Cross, Xani Kolac, David Shea, Byron Scullin and Chamber Made Opera. Tom is one third of new live improvising space-bound band Voyage (@voyage.trio), which has two debut releases planned for 2024.
