    Event description

    Justin Gibbon

Westov Temple is the production and DJ alias of Justin Gibbon, Founder and Creative Director of Great Circles - a Philadelphia-based music platform that includes a record label, online radio station, record shop and live events. As a DJ and radio host as well as a lifelong musician, Justin's work reflects his continuous exploration of sounds, ranging from the universal and emotionally engaging to the most unusual and experimental.

    Jeff Cain

Jeff Cain may be best known for his work in the Philadelphia-based innovative music duo The Ghostwriters. Authoring several atmospheric masterpiece recordings and live performances, these early realizations were unhindered, true expressions between collaborators. Forty years later Cain has returned to music. This solo performance at The Gatherings will be distinguished by elegance and tenderness. His adventurous explorations are delivered as if in intimate, personal touch with the listener. Opening a rare space for peace, thought and warmth, this live music is as powerfully effective as instrumental storytelling gets - flowing with the solemn, blissful insistence of life itself.

    Ugly Bike projections

This event will also present the work of video artist Ugly Bike (Neil Cippon), who will generate projections of original, ever-evolving graphics on the interior features of the St Mary's sanctuary space - all in time with the improvised live musical expressions.

The Gatherings Concert Series presents Westov Temple plus Jeff Cain live in concert on Saturday 9 November 2024 at 8:00PM.
