A fifty-day passage travelling over 8000km on a traditionally rigged three-masted barque from Montevideo to the Antarctic Peninsula via the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, with a Drake Passage crossing to make landfall in Ushuaia after passing Cape Horn. What could possibly go wrong!!

Nick Turner will enlighten you on the sailing, the ship, life on board, the wildlife and the feeling or being in Ernest Shackleton's footsteps.

 Nick will have copies of his recently published memoir about his madcap busking days, Singin' Your Subway Blues and CDs for sale on the day. 

Bookings are essential for this free event. Light refreshments will be available. You are encouraged to bring your own keep cup for tea/coffee or water.

About Nick Turner: Originally from the UK, Nick now lives in Fremantle where he continues to write, record and perform music at local venues and music festivals. He regularly embarks on sailing adventures around the world, and always has a story and a song to share.
