Noongar Cultural Incursion with Yalkarang Consulting
Event description
(For children aged 6 to 12 years)
As part of this year’s NAIDOC theme ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy’ Yalkarang Consulting is excited to deliver an engaging incursion tailored for 6–12 year olds. This special NAIDOC Week session will focus on Noongar family names—a celebration of kinship, legacy, and language. Through storytelling and interactive games, children will explore the importance of family, the power of language, and the beauty of cultural diversity. Together, we’ll learn, laugh, and yalkarang (blossom) through connection and play.
This activity is strictly for school-aged children aged 6 to 12 years only. Please do not book younger children as places are limited and this is a school holiday event.
You do not have to book for adults accompanying children. The event is free, but bookings are essential.
Children aged under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
Please remember to cancel your booking if you are unable to attend once you have registered so the place can be offered to someone else to enjoy.
