1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching program 2025

Haileybury Psychologists are delighted to offer the 1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching program to our ELC and Junior School community. The program will be delivered by Haileybury Psychologist, Tarryn Godfrey.

1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching is a brief three‐session course for parents and carers, developed to provide practical, easy to remember ways of responding to challenging emotions and behaviours in children. It focusses on simple strategies and techniques that promote positive behavior, build relationships, and encourage the development of children’s own ability to manage their emotional reactions. Research has shown significantly decreased child behaviour problems, and improved parent well‐being after participation in the 1‐2‐3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching program.

Parents and carers who have previously completed the program at Haileybury agree that they learnt useful strategies to aid their parenting, gained a better understanding of their child/children, and feel more confident as parents. The program also complements the emotional regulation language used through the ELC and Junior School.

There is no cost to parents for this program.

The program will be offered over 3 consecutive weeks (Wednesday 12, 19 and 26 March, 1.00pm – 3.30pm). Attendance at all 3 sessions is necessary to complete the program.

Please note that places in the program are limited and past programs generated significant interest and filled quickly. Further programs will be offered later in 2025 to meet demand.
