Groundhum Sessions 3: Huggy Pillow / tondiue / IVVY featuring THC.XLR @ FREMONT ABBEY
Event description
Huggy Pillow: https://www.instagram.com/huggypillow/
Huggy Pillow is the playtime vibe of Koji Hendrix and Julian Watt. Koji is an intrepid naturalist dedicated to innovative expressions of love, comfort and softness. Julian is a research technologist focused on micro-electronics and affective computing. They are best friends and total nerds.
IVVY featuring THC.XLR: https://www.instagram.com/ivvyseattle/
IVVY (Madi Levine) performs with a band made up of close friends and collaborators Erik Sanchez and Keegan Wiltshire as THC.XLR. This project is 10 plus years in the making. Expect ambient inspired jazz music.
tondiue: https://kelproots.bandcamp.com/album/word-to-the-centipede
tondiue, a member of the Ground Hum organizing committee, label head of the newly minted Kelp Roots, and 1/2 of record label Apt E, practices an exploratory approach to production, performance, and disc-jockeying, through which the avant-garde, improvised, and psychedelic natures of dub music inform an experimental process of psychoacoustic discovery that results in dense, afrofuturistic and spiritual passages of rhythmic drone and arpeggiated worldbuilding. Close your eyes, open your ears, take a step forward.
