10 April Hills District - Building Better Business Relationships
Event description
Welcome to the Local Area Marketing & Networking Groups - Hills District Networking where we build Better Business
Relationships for quality business referrals and collaborations.
We're excited to welcome you to our very first meeting at our new venue!
We've moved into a spacious hall that offers a much more comfortable and professional setting for our networking group. The room is equipped with tables and chairs, a large-screen TV for presentations, and a generous kitchen area with tea and coffee facilities. Brunch—sandwiches or wraps—will also be provided.
The quiet environment will significantly enhance the clarity of our member presentations and discussions, while also improving the quality of our video recordings—no more background café noise! Plus, there's convenient parking right next to the venue.
We’re looking forward to making the most of this new space together.
Our first member speaker is Accountant Preeti Sharma with a very timely Business INSIGHT to help you prepare for the end of the financial tax year.
BUSINESS INSIGHT - End of Financial Year (EOFY) is Coming Up Fast - Let's Get Ready!
The end of financial year is just around the corner, and what you do between now and 30 June could make a real impact
on your tax position. Now’s the time to check in on where your business stands, look at some practical ways
to minimise tax, and get organised before the rush hits.
Preeti will discuss how a little planning now means fewer surprises later—and possibly more money in your pocket!
Preeti will guide you through the best way to review your financial position, and provide ideas to guide you to
make the EOFY work better for you and not stress you out!

BUSINESS INSIGHT - A Fresh Perspective From our Youngest Member and some Timely Mother’s Day
Inspiration!
🌸
Our youngest member, Alicia Whitford, first introduced us to Generational Photography Forever in August 2024 — her debut presentation. Her passion, to encourage families to capture precious generational moments before they’re gone, was driven by personal loss.
Since then, Alicia has poured her passion and dedication into building her business, and her progress has been incredible to watch. In this session, she’ll share the exciting developments in her journey so far, the opportunities she’s created through pure determination—and yes, just in time, some wonderful Mother’s Day gift ideas you won’t want to miss! 💐
Let’s come together to support and celebrate Alicia’s growth and creativity. You’ll leave this session informed,
inspired, and maybe even with your Mother’s Day gift sorted!

Each Group has it's own Facebook page where you can advertise your business, keep up to date with group
promotional posts and keep in contact with other members. (You must be a regular group attendee to
receive access. Behavioural standards apply to all groups). Blacktown | Hills District | Parramatta| Penrith & Lower Mountains.
OUR MEETINGS
All attendees have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. Depending on numbers, introductions
are between 30-60 seconds - so it would be a good idea to make a note of the key points you want to make!
You get to meet like-minded people, exchange ideas, learn, socialise, collaborate, gain knowledge, form new relationships, get fresh business ideas and tips and, of course, expand your introduction-based business network.
Whether your business is shop, office, industry, home based or in a shared space, you will meet motivated owners and entrepreneurs to share your passion and grow your business with.
WHAT WE DO
Our online and face-to-face meetings are identical for all groups. They begin with:
1. Opening welcome.
2. 60-second Business Primers (all attendees).
3. Member Business INSIGHT* (up to 10 minutes when pre-booked).
4. Group photo.
5. Business Card Exchange (We do that online too!)
6. Five-minute break
7. Member Keynote* (up to 20 minutes when pre-booked).
8. Five-minute 1-1 Collaboration Discussion rotations. (Online – members auto-rotate via private virtual meeting
rooms.) Additional 1-1 meeting time is always available at the end of meetings.
9. Meeting ends.
(Nervous about presenting? Don't worry - we will coach you through it.)
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Unlike many groups, we do not charge a membership or joining fee. Instead we
charge attendance fees for all online and in-person meetings to cover costs and ensure small business owners are
not dissuaded away from business networking by cost.
Every meeting has an attendance fee contribution to catering costs. Group sponsorship opportunities are also open to significantly boost your business profile.
Online meeting fees are set at $7.50 per attendee (Booking fee and GST inclusive). Face-to-face meeting fees (Inclusive of breakfast, morning tea or evening snacks - depending on the Group) $30 per attendee. Blacktown Group (BBN) $20 thanks to the generous sponsorship of Workers Blacktown. (Booking fee and GST inclusive).
