Whisky Tasting
Tuesday, 10 November 2026
Hosted by John Shearlock from Regional Wines

Join us at the Seatoun Bowls Club for another foray into the wonderful world of whisky. This time, we’ll take a look at the different styles of sherry casks that are out there, spanning Fino and Manzanilla to PX and Palo Cortado. There’ll be a mystery whisky aged in oloroso casks, and to help us pick it from the lineup, we’ll start with a taster of oloroso too. Should be fun!

Here’s the lineup…

Kilchoman Fino Sherry Cask 2023 50%

Auchroisk 'Cadenhead' 14years old Manzanilla Finish 46%

Glen Scotia 'Icons of Campbeltown No.1 The Mermaid' Palo Cortado finish

Blackadder Linkwood 14YO 2010-2025 Raw Cask PX Sherry Cask Finish 56.6%

Lustau Dry Oloroso Don Nuno

Mystery whisky

Tickets are $60 per person and include guided tastings of all the whiskies.

The tasting begins promptly at 7:30pm, so please arrive early to secure a seat, grab a beer, and settle in before we start. Whether you’re a seasoned whisky lover or simply curious to learn more, this promises to be a relaxed and flavour-packed evening. Spaces are limited.
