This 10 week course is designed for children aged 5–8.

As an illustrator, Procreate has changed the way I work. It's my favourite tool for creating art. I can draw anywhere: from my own couch to an aeroplane (not that we're doing much air travel these days!). I can undo a mistake with a simple double tap and I have all the colours I could want, with the press of a button (and without the hassle of cleaning up all my paints).

In these fun and interactive online classes, students will learn the basics of the Procreate App on the iPad and will work on a series of creative illustration projects.

Some of the projects we'll be working on this term include:

lifelike animal portraits
illustrated selfies
patterns and designs for clothing and other products
greeting cards
character development

Classes run for 1 hour. I use a combination of video tutorials (which I narrate live) and live demonstrations. Video tutorials are available after each session so students can continue to practice.

What students need to participate:
📱 an iPad with the Procreate app installed
🖊 an Apple Pencil or fine-point stylus
💻 another device to join the zoom
🧠 a creative, open mind!

I am a proud neurodivergent (ADHD) and my classes are designed to be friendly and welcoming for children with ASD, ADHD and other neuro-differences. If you think I need to know anything about your child that will improve their experience, I want to hear it!
Mics will be on mute for some of the class and in order to keep the vibes nice and calm, I will ask students to unmute to ask questions and talk about their work.
Students are encouraged to keep their cameras on as it helps me to help them with their work.
All bookings are final. If you cancel or miss a class, I am unable to offer refunds or credits. Sorry!
If I become unwell or cannot teach the class for some reason, I will let you know via email as soon as possible and will run a catch up class at an alternative time.
I can offer high-quality printing services at an additional charge. If you would like work printed, please ask and we can figure out a price.
