We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to you to ‘Celebrating 10 years of the Impact of LeadAbility’.

Join us as we share ideas and knowledge, make connections across our LeadAbility network of graduates and supporters and celebrate the impact of a decade of the LeadAbility Course in creating courageous leaders and advocating for change across the sector.

It will be an afternoon to remember, as we reflect and celebrate the leadership of people with disability and those who support our sector.

Thank you to the Department of Communities WA for their generous support for ‘Celebrating 10 years of the Impact of LeadAbility’ and the LeadAbility Course.

    Panel members Clare Gibellini (LeadAbility 2019), Deggi Altangerel (LeadAbility 2023) and Rahul Seth (LeadAbility 2019) will share their personal insights into the unique challenges and opportunities that arise at the intersection of disability and other aspects of identity. Together, we will explore the role of intersectionality in shaping the understanding and experience of leadership. strategies for creating inclusive workplaces that recognize and value diverse identities and how, by embracing diversity we can develop more innovative, empathetic, and effective leadership for all.

    Australian of the Year Award winner, Craig Hollywood, will share stories of the power of positive connections, inclusion, thinking outside the box and making a difference by activating our social consciousness. As the founder of Shortback and Sidewalks, a social impact movement providing free haircuts and conversations with some of Australia’s most vulnerable people, Craig will inspire us with how a simple idea has changed the lives of over 10,000 people.

    Address by The Hon Don Punch, Minister for Regional Development; Disability Services; Fisheries; Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering

    Followed by ‘LeadAbility 2014 – 2024’, a fun and light-hearted look back at the LeadAbility Course over the last 10 years.

    5.00pm - 6.30pm - Networking Drinks and Canapés

    Connect and reconnect with the LeadAbility network of graduates and supporters over celebratory drinks and delicious canapés.
