Event description

We've hit a milestone! The Toodyay Tennis Club (est. 1895) has been at the Fiennes St location since the 1921-22 Season - and we think that's worth celebrating!  Until then the club hired courts from the St Stephens Church near the river. With continual flooding the club needed to find a new home. After a suggestion by the RSL, 2 tennis courts were built at Toodyay Park ("the Park"), the site of the new war memorial, so that the community could further enjoy the park. With the help of volunteers, the Road Board finalised courts around the time of the unveiling of the memorial in December of 1921. A further 4 courts were built in the 1940's on what was the site where the visiting magistrate would stable his horse while presiding in the court room over the road, and the site has been further developed by the club to what it is today.

Come and join past and present members to relive the stories from both on and off the court - We know there are many! in a family friendly celebration with games for all, and enjoy a BBQ for tea, including all night desert (why wait for the good stuff!) a cash bar with be available.
