Zen Tea Lounge Foundation - 100 Women in Solidarity 2022
Event description
Zen Tea Lounge Foundation (ZTLF) is pleased to host this year’s 100 Women in Solidarity event on Thursday, 27 October 2022.
We invite you to join us for an evening of meaningful discussions, a delicious banquet, and thrilling entertainment. All proceeds from the event will help the ZTLF continue to serve people in at-risk situations, domestic violence victims and their children.
Our event aims to raise awareness of the prevalence of abuse, alert survivors and their supporters to the options and resources available and encourage people to take action, promoting social change.
So far in 2022, some 27 women have died because of domestic violence. On average, at least one woman a week is killed, one child every fortnight and one man each month.
Since 2017, ZTLF has assisted almost 20,000 domestic violence victims. We believe that by drawing on the courage of those who have gone through our programs, together with the support of frontline service providers, advocates and all tiers of government, we can make a significant difference and save lives.
Change begins with small actions in the family home, schools, workplaces and in the community.
100 Women in Solidarity stands in solidarity with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November 2022) and will provide you with the support and resources to address these issues with your family, friends and communities.
If you are experiencing domestic violence, know someone affected by domestic violence, or simply want to create positive change in your community, then this event is for you.
