Football South Australia will celebrate 100 years of women’s football in Australia on 24 September 2021 on the upcoming anniversary of the first public game of football played by women in Australia.  

The centenary celebration will be held at VALO Football Centre showcasing the state’s best talent with the entire round of Women’s National Premier League at the one venue on the same night. 

To mark the occasion, each WNPL squad will be wearing a commemorative strip. 

A ceremony will take place with all 8 teams on Pitch One prior to the commencement of matches at 8.15 pm.

Pitch One
6 pm - West Adelaide v Adelaide University
8.15 pm - Metro United WFC v Football SA NTC


Pitch Two
6 pm - Salisbury Inter v Adelaide Comets
8.15 pm - Adelaide City v Fulham United

All patrons are required to additionally check-in to VALO Football Centre using the new COVID SAfe Check-In system.

How to use the COVID SAfe App

COVID SAfe Check-In is a new feature that has been added to the free mySA GOV app.

You can download the mySA GOV app using your smartphone. In the mySA GOV app, select the COVID SAfe Check-In tile when you arrive at a venue or business, and follow the prompts to scan their unique QR code and check-in.

You are not required to login to use the COVID SAfe Check-In feature.

Download the app from Google Play or the App Store. f you already have the mySA GOV app, make sure you have the latest version, which may require you to download the app update.

If you do not have a compatible smartphone, a paper record will be available for you to provide your details.

When you first enter the COVID SAfe Check-In tile, you will be asked to fill in your details and mobile number. You will then get a text message with a unique code to enter into the app. This is to verify your phone number. You will only have to do this once.

  • All patrons are to follow COVID-19 Social Distancing and Regulations when attending the event
  • Please ensure you respect the density requirements of 3 people per 4sqm.
  • All patrons are to comply with security and COVID marshalls
  • Please ensure you practise social distancing while entering and exiting the venue
