100 Years of Workers Compensation Centenary Dinner
Description
In 1926, the NSW Parliament passed the Workers Compensation Act, establishing the inaugural Workers Compensation Commission (WCC), which first convened in Newcastle later that year.
This marked the beginning of a century-long commitment to protecting and supporting injured workers across New South Wales.
Over the past 100 years, this institution has evolved through several iterations:
Original WCC (1926–1983)
Compensation Court of NSW (1983–2003)
Re-established WCC (2001–2021)
Personal Injury Commission (2021–Present)
To honour a century of service, history, and contribution to the people of New South Wales, the Personal Injury Commission warmly invites you to join us for a special Centenary Dinner.
This evening will celebrate the dedication of those who have worked tirelessly to support injured workers and businesses and shape the evolution of workers compensation in NSW.
