Each turning of the season, Priestess Sally Carmichael of Wild Spirit Woman leads a three-hour chant of the Buddhist Mantra of Light—a ritual of honouring and peace for those who have recently passed, or are in the process of passing, in an inclusive spiritual (non-religious) space.

ABOUT THE RITUAL:

We will be chanting the powerful Buddhist Mantra of Light. This mantra is said to help guide the individual home in their transition when chanted 100 or 1000 times for those who are passing. This is a non-religious ritual, offered in deep respect and honour of life.

There are several versions of this mantra - we be chanting this Japanese version:

ON ABOKYA BEIROSHANO MAKA BODARA MANI HANDOMA JINBARA HARA BARITAYA UN

Though we will be in different places, the energetic nature of this ritual connects us all in profound love ❤️✨

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Share the name of a loved one you wish to be included

Is there a loved one you'd like us to chant for? Is the loved one you?
Please email / message me privately and I’ll add the names you give me to the list for our ritual intentions. I will normally mention the first name of those we are chanting for during the livestream - please indicate if you wish to keep this anonymous.

Join the chant

You may join for 100, 300, or 1000 repetitions or to simply witness the beginning of the ceremony.
There will be a 10 minute bio-break at after each set of 300 chants.

100 chants is approximately 30 minutes which is a quite achievable duration if you are unaccustomed to long meditation sits.

Bring a comfortable chair, meditation cushion or stool and keep yourself hydrated.

A Mala is perfect for counting the number of chants if you have one.

HOW TO JOIN THE ZOOM LIVESTREAM:

This event will be hosted in zoom and live streamed to youtube - participant video and audio will be turned off once the livestream starts

You will receive a meeting link via email 1 day prior to the ritual.

Because of the nature of this ritual it is offered as not-for-profit . However there is an administration cost to organising and promoting these events. Consider purchasing a paid ticket to help support me in creating these rituals.
