ATA-DC will host a Centennial Turkish Republic Day Ball honoring the legacy of Atatürk and the nation’s journey to the present day.
The 100th anniversary grand ball will take place at the historical and glorious Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Washington, DC on Sunday, October 29, 2023 5:30pm - 10:30pm. Please see important information at the bottom*
The Proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye on October 29, 1923 marked a pivotal moment in Turkish history, as it signaled the end of the Ottoman Empire and the beginning of a new era with the founding of the modern, democratic, and secular Republic of Türkiye. Atatürk, the Republic’s founding father, implemented a series of reforms aimed at transforming Türkiye into a modern, democratic, and secular nation-state.
This year, as we celebrate this landmark milestone for the Turkish Republic, we look forward to a memorable Republic Ball with greater participation from the Turkish-American Associations and our community members.
