As the sun rises on the summer solstice, the brightest and most expansive day of the year, join me for this 108 sun salute practice to honour the light , within and without. The solstice marks a powerful turning point, a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the fullness of life’s energy before the gradual return toward balance.

I'll be guiding you through 108 Sun Salutations, a ritual steeped in meaning. In yogic tradition, 108 represents wholeness, the bridge between the individual and the infinite. Even the cosmos echoes this sacred geometry:

🌞 The distance from Earth to the Sun is roughly 108 times the Sun’s diameter,
🌕 The distance from Earth to the Moon is 108 times the Moon’s diameter.

These patterns mirror the harmony between the human body, the Earth, and the heavens, reminding us that our practice is part of something vast and beautifully ordered.
