Event description
Thursday 15 May 2025
Want to help accelerate social innovation in Victoria?
The grand challenges of our time, such as homelessness, addiction, mental health - can't be solved by single solutions working in isolation. 10x10 is where people who care about social innovation come to connect and this event is hosted by a committee of volunteers! Join us on 15 May 2025 for a shark-tank style pitch and crowdfunding event to support three exceptional early stage not-for-profits (NFPs) innovating to solve social challenges in Victoria.
Who will be pitching?
- Common Ground Project is a regenerative farm and social enterprise that promotes food security by creating fair access to locally grown, healthy food.
-
Home. Women. Housing. is a research and advocacy project, auspiced by OFFICE as part of the & program, it looks at the housing challenges faced by women,
particularly elderly women, single mothers, and working individuals.
- The Flourish Journey fostering a generation of empowered, resilient and connected teenage girls who can shape a future where everyone flourishes as their best selves.
Donate to attend and help make a difference
By making a tax-deductible donation of $100 giving you access to the event, you’re directly helping these organisations to grow their impact. Upon arrival, two ‘pledge tokens’ worth $50 each will be provided to each attendee – you’ll select and donate your tokens to the organisation that resonates with you on the night. As an added bonus, on the night you will also be able to enjoy complimentary drinks and canapes thanks to our generous sponsors, networking opportunities, and a live auction.
What to expect on the night:
- Hear directly from the social entrepreneurs behind the idea:The founders of each organisation pitch live, sharing their personal experience and emotive stories that explain their ‘why’ and demonstrate the impact a small donation could make. Each social entrepreneur has 5 minutes to pitch, followed by 5 minutes of questions from our Sharks for Good, and 5 minutes from the audience.
- Choose who you want to support: Upon arrival, you’ll receive 2 x $50 pledge tokens in return for your $100 donation. After hearing the three organisations pitch, you get to decide which one will receive your support by placing your token in the jars at the back of the room.
- Raise funds that will have an impact:The NFPs who are in our 10x10 community have been identified for their innovative solutions and the direct impact they’re having in our communities. As they’re early-stage, a small amount of funding goes a long way so you can be sure your funds are going direct to the cause, not to organisational administration.
- Be inspired to donate more:You can make further donations on the night by speaking to any of the 10x10 volunteer committee, buying a raffle ticket or bidding on an auction item.
- Connect with other professionals and open dialogue about some of our biggest challenges:enjoy an evening of connecting to other like-minded professionals from across all industries.

What is 10x10?
10x10 builds the networks that back innovative not-for-profits (NFPs) taking on Australia’s toughest social challenges.
There are two ways we do this;
1. Fueling a thriving movement: We’re create opportunities for people to be part of something bigger.
A social movement where their time, connections, and capital can transform communities.
2. Accelerating ambitious solutions: We’re building a funding ecosystem where individuals, venture philanthropists and corporates unlock new and better philanthropy.
Who we support
We back NFPs that are solving our society’s greatest social challenges by using innovation, which we define as novel + an improvement on existing solutions.
The organisations we support punch above their weight. They’re under seven years old, have revenue less than AUD$2M and are a registered DGR1.
Over 10 years we’ve supported over 400 organisations targeting all 17 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Examples of organisations you might have heard of include OrangeSky Laundry, Batyr, Confit Pathways, One Disease and This Is A Conversation Starter (TIACS).
