Event description
People must not attend the event if they have COVID-19 symptoms.
- STAY AT HOME IF UNWELL OR HAVE A COUGH, FEVER, SORE THROAT, FATIGUE OR SHORTNESS OF BREATH
- HOW TO SEEK ASSISTANCE IF BECOMING UNWELL DURING THE EVENT (LOCATE SECURITY, EVENT OFFICALS OR FIRST AID)
- MAINTAINING PHYSICAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS IS THE INDIVIDUALS RESPONSIBILITY
2020 has been a tough year for both employers and workers in the Construction industry.
The COVID pandemic has taken its toll both emotionally and financially.
MATES in Construction is part of the industry and we have been extra busy during this crisis. Many workers have seen both their finances and relationships being stretched to breaking point. For some workers it becomes so bad that they are contemplating suicide.
At the same time many business have experienced difficult financial terms and found it difficult to donate and fundraise for MATES in Construction.
At a time when MATES is needed more than ever due to COVID restrictions we have had to reschedule our annual charity lunch. This is MATES major fundraising event and we have reschedule it for February 4th 2021 and of course numbers are limited at the event.

Due to COVID restrictions tables will be of 8 guests and the number of tables will be reduced. We will also have social distancing "Stronger Together" supporter packs available- these packs are sponsoring the extra space in the room required to make the event COVID safe due to reduced room capacity. This support pack includes 2 VIP tickets.
