12-HOUR FESTIVATE: AWATEA - A NEW DAY
Indigenous Wisdom, Medicine, Ceremony, Music, Breathing, Dance

Like a marae, guided by timeless wisdom of these lands - the welcome, discussion, workshops and activities grow us together, enhancing the spirit, mind, body and community
Share the offerings (and bring your own) in our first 12-hour Festivate - holding space to gather and share hub-time with kindred spirits.
Free (or Koha) entry and paid sessions ($70 all-inclusive day).
CEREMONIAL WELCOME AND DISCUSSION with Matenga 11AM - 12NOON
Be coached through the Maori welcome ceremony (powhiri) and a Festivate discussion. Followed by shared kai/lunch
KOHATU-TANGA - MAORI KNOWLEDGE WORKSHOP with Matenga ($25) 12.30 - 2.30pm
Traditional wisdom of Aotearoa and the practice of holding and applying important energies for a long time
HIKOI - regenerative local bush walk and refreshment break
FOREST AID (RONGOA) WORKSHOP with Jules Bright ($25) 3.00 - 5.30pm
Experiential learning afternoon getting to know 5 of our local Aotearoa Rongoa plants in new exciting ways, using proper tikanga.
OPEN MIC/LIVE JAM with the A-team Russ Bathurst and Chris Webber
Shared kai/dinner, whanaungatanga and healing space activities
EVENING FESTIVATE ($30) 6.30 - 11pm
- Cacao Ceremony by Master of ceremonies, the magical Jules Bright
- Ancestral Journey and Maori Mantra by Wairua Warrior Matenga
- Breathwork with the amazing Richard Hackney and/or Brad Roach
- Drumming and waiata by the lovely Rhiana Kenny-Dowall
- Kani-Ora Ecstatic Dance with the one and only, divine Anirvan Deva
11PM CLOSING CIRCLE AND KARAKIA
