This photo exhibition will capture the last 12 months of solidarity, and protest in the justice for Palestine movement here in Magan-djin (Brisbane).ย ย

Hosted in collaboration with Justice for Palestine Magan-djin (JFP) and Magan-djin Creatives for Palestine (MCFP), this exhibition is held in the days leading up to the period marking twelve (12) months of unconscionable uprooting, grief, rage, devastation but also a collective renewal of hope, passion and solidarity with Palestine and Palestinian communities across the globe.ย ย

The exhibition opening night is on October 10th at KEPK Gallery from 6pm - 10pm. It will feature photo and video-based submissions from creatives who have been involved in direct action events & protests in Magandjin from October 2023 till October 2024. The opening night will feature art, music & spoken-word performances and truth-telling grounded in Palestinian and Blak voices. Food and drink from local makers such as Palestinian Food Brisbane, Baitna, and Alphabet Cafe will be provided.

The exhibition will run until Saturday 12 October and is one of several events being organised to mark 12 months of Israelโ€™s genocide including the โ€œAll Out for Palestineโ€ rally on October 13.

Our collective movement for a better world is made possible from the teachings, stories and lessons shared by Indigenous peoples - from Gaza to Magan-djin, we welcome you.

Photo prints exhibited will be available to purchase to raise funds forย Palestinian refugees and a First Nation Organisation.

The space will beย grounded by truth telling, hope, and action through these powerful voices:ย

    • Aunty Dawn Daylight
    • Remah Naji
    • Fred Leone
    • Phil Monsour
    • Lily Daud
