The Next Gen Program (NGP) is aimed at finding the next generation of athletes that could one day represent Queensland. The program will also expose young athletes to a high performance environment, and provide a taste of what to expect if they progress along the High Performance pathway in the future. It will provide a development opportunity with on-court and off-court sessions that will help improve the athletes holistically.

The 12s Next Gen Pass is eligible for any U12 athlete that competes in BQJBC rep competitions in 2025. The pass allows you to attend as many of the camps across Queensland as you like, gives you access to all Next Gen Hub sessions, a parent presentation, two online educational workshops and the Next Gen Shooting Program document. BQ also uses 12's Next Gen as a part of Talent ID for the Next Gen Combine. The 2025 program is the biggest yet!

Check in: Athletes should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled session start times for check in

Breaks: There will not be supervision for athletes during the breaks in sessions. There will be staff in the building but no specific people supervising the athletes during the break.

Next Gen Hub Sessions

Next Gen Hub sessions are an extra series of sessions that focus on the same skills and learnings that are covered at Next Gen Camps. Four Next Gen Hub sessions will be hosted in the South, while North and Central athletes will have access to four Hub sessions as well. Dates and times of these sessions are below.

Please note that with a Next Gen Pass parents and athletes will get access to two online educational workshops covering various topics. Please keep an eye out for information about these.

Next Gen Shooting Program

As a part of the Next Gen program athletes get a copy of the Next Gen Shooting Program. This program gives athletes drills and tests that they can do to continue improving their game. Athletes will receive this document at the conclusion of the Next Gen Program.
