12th December Pottery Hand Building Workshop

Join me in my private pottery studio in beautiful Mangawhai.

This 2.5 hour workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone curious about working with clay. You'll learn the foundations of hand building and create your own ceramic pieces from scratch. Classes are intentionally kept small, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of individual guidance throughout the session.

One of the best parts of working from my private studio is having access to all the tools and equipment I use in my own pottery practice. You'll be able to experiment with specialty pottery tools including a slab roller, pottery moulds, an extruder, carving tools, and plenty of other equipment to help bring your ideas to life.

👐 What's included:
• 1kg of speckled stoneware clay
• Full access to studio tools and equipment
• Step by step guidance throughout the session
• Glazing and firing of your finished pieces

🎨 What you'll create:
Choose your focus, whether that's a mug, vase, tumbler, planter, trinket dish, or something uniquely your own. We'll explore beginner friendly hand building techniques during class.

⏰ Time: 2.5 hours

👩‍🎨 Ages: 14 years and over

🧼 Please wear clothes you don't mind getting a little messy or bring an apron.

🕐 Your finished pieces will be glazed and fired after the workshop and will be ready for collection approximately 5 weeks later. I'll email you as soon as they're ready.

✨ Please note:
Pottery is a beautiful but delicate craft. While every care is taken during drying and firing, occasional cracks or breakages can occur. I'll share plenty of tips throughout the workshop to help give your creations the best chance of success.
