Thank you for your interest in the Free Tree and Plant Giveaway.
Designed to create cooler, greener, and healthier neighbourhoods, our Free Tree and Plant Giveaway grows each year! If you are an eligible City of Stirling resident, you can register for 4 trees and 1 plant pack (containing 10 WA native plants) per property to help green our verges and communities.

The plant giveaway initiative is proudly co-funded by the Water Corporation’s Waterwise Greening Scheme and forms part of our ambition for the City of Stirling to be a leading waterwise community.

Eligibility criteria

Open to eligible residents and tenants of the City of Stirling who reside at the address where the trees and seedlings will be planted.
Tenants may claim free trees and plants, however they must have approval of the homeowner for planting
Residents cannot claim plant packs or trees for investment properties at which they do not live
All residents will be required to show proof of their home address to collect trees and plants. Please bring your driver's license, utility bill etc that shows your name and the registered address)

ONE only plant pack can be claimed per eligible individual property for the 2025 program
No more than FOUR trees can be claimed per eligible individual property for the 2025 program
All plant packs must be collected on the day chosen by the participant. We do not have the capacity to reschedule plant pickup days once booked.
Trees can only be planted within private property. Trees are not to be planted on verges
Trees and plants must be planted in the ground, not in pots or containers

Please note, any orders that do not align with the eligibility criteria and program conditions will be cancelled. Those residents will be unable to register for any further plant or tree giveaways.

Species availability

Some trees are very popular, or have limited availability, hence some trees are restricted to one (1) per eligible resident
There are two types of plant packs available, each containing 10 labelled WA native waterwise plants.

Verge Pack: to be planted on your front verge or in your garden
Garden Pack: to be planted in your garden only (ie not suitable for verge planting)

The specific varieties included in each pack cannot be pre-selected and will be chosen by the City to ensure species health and availability. Sample species include Beaufortia aestieva (Kalbarri Beaufortia), Anigozanthos flavidus (Tall Kangaroo Paw), and Guichenotia macrantha (Yanchep Bells).
Packs cannot be changed once selected. Pack contents also cannot be changed or substituted.

Please note: There is no species list for plant packs. The specific varieties included in each pack will be chosen by the City on the day of pick-up to ensure species health and availability.

Important Information
