150th Celebration for F 13 "Peveril" - Railfans/Photographers Day

The Canterbury Railway Society Inc and the Ferrymead Railway are celebrating F 13's 150th Birthday by hosting a Railfans/Photographers Event on Saturday 21st October 2023 from 10:00am - 8:00pm. Trains will begin running at 12:00pm.

This will feature:

• A Cake Cutting Ceremony in Moorhouse Village Station.
• Demonstration Goods, Mixed and Victorian Era Passenger Train consists.
• A total of 3 Planned Locomotives in Steam.
• Rides on the Passenger Trains exclusive to Photographer Pass Holders.
• Visiting Engine D 16 from Pleasant Point Railway and Historical Society operating.
• A meal break for attendees to organise their own dinner.
• Evening Photo Session around the Moorhouse Station and Yard.

Full schedule will be available closer to the event.

If you are a member of The Canterbury Railway Society Inc or another society onsite at Ferrymead you will be able to enter the park for free but still need to purchase a Photographers Pass.
