Sustainable House Day is an event from Renew that provides the opportunity to explore some of Australia’s most inspiring homes, and learn from the people who designed them, built them, and live in them.

Please note that you will need to book in to a specific tour time, and if you do not arrive at this time you will not be able to tour the home. This is due to capacity restraints set by the homeowner to ensure the safety of all parties on the day.

You will be sent the address in the days before the event.

About this home

This new build in Wandin, Victoria aimed to be everything the owners had not had for 23 years, a comfortable, well-oriented, simple but high-performing new build finished in 2023 that drew on yourhome.gov for inspiration. Incorporating thermal mass with an internal brick wall, cross ventilation with awning windows and operable clerestory windows to flush out warm air, this forever home may not be flashy but is high-performing and a pleasure to live in.
