16 Days of Activism 2026: Opening Vigil + Community Lunch
Description
Join Wagga Women’s Health Centre as we come together to remember, reflect and stand against domestic and family violence.
Our opening vigil marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. White ribbons will represent each woman and child whose life has been taken by domestic and family violence, a reminder of the people behind the numbers, and the families and communities forever changed by their loss.
The vigil offers a shared space to honour their lives, stand alongside victim-survivors and reaffirm our community’s commitment to a future free from violence.
Following the vigil, everyone is warmly invited to stay for a free community lunch, an opportunity to connect, share a meal and support one another.
All are welcome. Attendance and lunch are free.
