JOIN US ONLINE FOR AN HOUR OF POWER TO HELP SAVE KARIONG SACRED LANDS FROM DEVELOPMENT!

This is an URGENT CALL TO ACTION. Submissions are open right now in response to the Planning Proposal to rezone environmentally sensitive bushland owned by Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council (DLALC) at Kariong to allow them to develop the land to build a housing estate.

Only a short walk from the famous Grandmother tree and Kariong Hieroglyphs, this development will see the complete destruction of endangered wetlands, threatened flora and fauna and officially registered Aboriginal cultural heritage sites. It is important bushland that needs to be protected.

DLALC is composed of Aboriginal people from other parts of Australia representing 4% of the local Indigenous community. Local traditional owners strongly oppose this sell-off of sacred country.

Join us to hear from Auntie Colleen Fuller, a local indigenous woman of the Darkinoong and Yuin tribes, who will outline why this rezoning would be a tragedy for cultural heritage and nature.

Join us to learn more about this sacred bushland site and to write your own submission in real time alongside others from the local community.

We need PEOPLE POWER to stop the development!

REGISTER HERE AND THE ZOOM LINK WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU.

If you are unable to attend PLEASE help our voiceless native plants and animals by writing a short submission opposing this development.
