Event description
2:20AM
Written by Rebecca Lister
Directed by Claude Sarmiento
“It’s okay to cry
In public places
In bed alone
In the airport
In the line for coffee
In the car
As we drive
And remember
how not so long ago,
you were my baby.”
Four ordinary strangers, bereaved by suicide, form a reluctant bond in a creative writing workshop. Together, they reveal more about themselves and their experiences than they signed up for. Based on the author’s own experiences and interviews conducted with others bereaved by suicide, 2:20AM truthfully, and with a touch of humour, sheds light on the pain, hope, and resilience of those left behind.
