Introduction to the Regional Ecosystem Framework

This 2-day workshop provides background knowledge and practical skills in the interpretation and implementation of vegetation community assessment and identification in accordance with the Queensland Government's Regional Ecosystem framework. The course is applicable to everyone from environmental practitioners, rangers and field assessment personnel to any interested persons wanting to grasp a better understanding of Queensland’s Regional Ecosystem framework and/or vegetation management legislation. The training workshop combines classroom-based theory sessions on Day 1 and learning activities with field traverses at Toohey Forest on Day 2, where you will be able to apply your new (or polished) knowledge.

Note the date and time selections above refer to the start of the first day of the course. This is a 2-day workshop run over two consecutive days.

Please note that in order to minimise our carbon footprint, printed workbooks will not be provided. Instead, course contents will be provided electronically (PDF) prior to attendance, with the option for participants to print out beforehand. Power boards will be available for those wanting to bring along their laptops to take notes.

Course includes:

• Morning tea and lunch is provided (accommodating for dietary requirements, where possible), along with tea and coffee on Day 1. Please note Day 2 is BYO.
