Let the fun begin! We will start our journey to the NSW south coast. Enjoy the ride while admiring the incredible views of country NSW on our panoramic coach.
Our first stop will be at Braidwood where you can relax and enjoy morning tea at your own expense at the Braidwood Bakery before continuing our journey.Â
We will arrive at Batemans Bay at approximately 11:00 am- just in time for the first activity of the day: cruising the beautiful Clyde River in style on a 3-hour lunch cruise! We will try the Boatshed’s famous fish and chips while admiring the inspiring scenery and pristine waters of the Clyde River in their comfortable vessel, plus we will learn more about local history from the friendly crew.
Did you know that The Clyde River (or Bhundoo as the local Aboriginal Walbanga people call it) is one of the last major rivers in Eastern Australia that remains undammed?
After this experience, we will visit Mogo, a little historic gold mining village that was greatly affected by the devastating bushfires of 2019’s Black Summer, but that still preserves a variety of unique and eclectic cafes, shops, and galleries for us to discover!
Once we have explored Mogo, we will head to Narooma and will arrive at our Oceanside accommodation at approximately 5:00 pm. Here we will have time to settle and relax in comfort before enjoying a group dinner to finalise a perfect day.
*Comfort stops along the way as required
Day 2
A continental breakfast will be provided to have in your room and enjoy in your own time.
After breakfast, we will depart to take a comfortable boat trip to the Montague Island Natural Reserve. This tour will take us around 8 km offshore to a beautiful pristine island surrounded by clean waters. A heaven for marine and animal life! We will get to see the resident seal colony, little penguins and abundant wildlife that call this place home. We will also learn about its rich historical, cultural and scientific significance, and explore its 125-year-old lighthouse and keepers’ quarters.
Lunch will be provided on this tour.
The afternoon is free time - You may like to head to the Bar Rock Lookout in Narooma to see the seals resting on the rocks and admire the incredible views or take some time to relax on the Bar Beach South, take a short walk through the Mill Bay Boardwalk to appreciate the natural beauty of Narooma.Â
Dinner for this night will be Discover and Dine at your own expense. After dinner, we will return to our accommodation for a restful night!
*Comfort stops along the way as required
Day 3
A continental breakfast will be provided to have in your room and enjoy in your own time.
We will start the last day of our trip by exploring Tilba-Tilba, a beautifully preserved colonial heritage village full of colourful old-world shops and surrounded by an evergreen landscape. This place is a heaven for amazing cheese, milkshakes, ice cream and all things dairy!
Following Tilba-Tilba, we will visit Bermagui- another gorgeous town on the Sapphire Coast where you can enjoy a fish and chips lunch on the wharf at your own expense.
After lunch, we will explore more of this town and drive past its famous Blue Pool. This stunning ocean rock pool of clear seawater is an ecological nursery for many spectacular marine creatures, including anemones, sea stars, sea hares, nudibranchs, crabs, fish and marine snails.
Around 2:00 pm, we will head back to Canberra via the scenic Cooma Snowy Mountains Highway. On the way, we will have a comfort stop at the Nimmitabel Bakery where you can have afternoon tea at your own expense.
