#2 Silent Bookclub
Event description
Silent Book Club is not your normal book club!
There’s no assigned reading. No pressure to finish the book in time, to do any homework or say something smart. At the start of each catch-up, we chat, order food and drinks, before settling in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. After that we socialise, or not! It’s all up to you.
It’s BYO book and all book formats are welcome—eBooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books, it doesn’t matter because reading with others enriches our lives and makes us happy. We love hearing about what people are reading (often in their other book clubs), so feel free to share after reading hour. Most importantly, Silent Book Club is about creating connections in our communities, so everyone is welcome, and anyone can join.

Thursday 12th September.
6:00-6:45pm - Arrive, order drinks/food, share what you’re reading or just crack that spine and get down to it!
6:45-7:45pm - Quiet reading hour (like school, but different).
7:45-9:00pm - Optional socialising, or just keep reading.
