    Event description

"A BRUTAL, NECESSARY, HEART-POUNDING REMINDER OF WHY THE SIEGE SHOCKED THE WORLD, AND WHAT REMAINS AT STAKE." - Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times.

Please join us at this special screening of Oscar-winning film 20 Days In Mariupol in support of the Defend Ukraine Appeal.

    About the film:
An AP team of Ukrainian journalists trapped in the besieged city of Mariupol struggle to continue their work documenting atrocities of the Russian invasion. As the only international reporters who remain in the city, they capture what later become defining images of the war: dying children, mass graves, the bombing of a maternity hospital, and more.

Funds raised will go to the Defend Ukraine Appeal - the largest Australian fundraising effort for non-lethal military aid for Ukraine. Managed by the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO), the Defend Ukraine Appeal raises funds for the provision of non-lethal military aid to the brave defenders of Ukraine. Funds are allocated across three primary areas of support:

    1. Life-Saving Equipment: first aid kits, generators, two-way radios, thermal imaging devices, night vision goggles and surveillance equipment enable effective communication and enhanced situational awareness.
    2. Transport vehicles: second-hand off-road vehicles that assist with medical evacuations, transport of personnel and logistics.
    3. Protective Gear: helmets, bulletproof vests, gloves, footwear, thermal clothing and sleeping bags.

Please arrive at 6pm for a 6:15pm start.
