The national Women in Digital Awards has officially returned for the fourth year in a row... and this year, we are proud to be back IN-PERSON bigger and better than EVER!

The Women in Digital Awards was created from the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see' and is a celebration of incredible women within the digital industries and the businesses that support them. The night is dedicated to incredible women, companies, disruptors and advocates within the Digital and IT industries. From Founder of the Year to Technical Leader of the Year, we are providing a platform for women who are dedicated to their craft, their business, and helping lift others up in the industry. Learn more about the Women in Digital Awards.

This year, we are excited to welcome over 700 attendees to celebrate fabulous women achieving digital excellence in their fields and we want you to come along!

Joining us on the Women in Digital stage is returning MC, Pub Choir and Couch Choir's Founding Director Astrid Jorgensen and spectacular keynote speaker... Dr. Kirstin Ferguson.

Event Format*:

5:30pm (AEST) – Early VIP Access with exclusive networking opportunities – this is available for our sponsors and finalists only.

6:00pm (AEST) - What would an Awards Gala be without welcome drinks? Arrive and mingle with the best and brightest in industry.

6:45pm (AEST) - Take a seat at your table – the formal proceedings are about to commence.

7:30pm (AEST)- It's award time! Enjoy a delicious three course meal while celebrating our incredible award finalists and overall category winners!

8:30pm (AEST) - Presentation by Tech Girls Movement

10:00pm (AEST) That’s a wrap! But do not worry – if COVID safety laws allow, there will be a dance floor and yes, participation is mandatory!

11:00pm (AEST) - Event close

Our Keynote: 

Dr. Kirstin Ferguson Business Leader, Writer & Creator #CelebratingWomen

Our speaker Dr. Kirstin Ferguson is an award-winning and globally recognised business leader, writer and speaker. She is one of Australia’s most prominent leadership experts after a 30-year executive career, a PhD in leadership in culture and she was the only Australian to be recognised in a list of the world’s top 30 thinkers in leadership to watch.

With an incredibly diverse career, she has over a decade of experience on a range of company boards, including an appointment by the Australian Prime Minister as Acting Chair and Deputy Chair of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She’s also been the CEO of a global consulting company, a senior executive at a leading corporate law firm, and spent nearly 10 years as an Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.

A passionate advocate for women, diversity and inclusion, our speaker was responsible for sparking a viral social media campaign called #CelebratingWomen, and is the co-author of award-winning book, Women Kind. Her second book, Head & Heart: The Art of Modern Leadership will be published by Penguin Random House.

She writes a weekly column for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age and frequently appears in the media discussing leadership, work and careers. She is also a sought-after executive coach to some of Australia’s most senior leaders.

FAQS:

Why do you host the awards?  
The Women in Digital Awards are hosted to celebrate industry leaders and encourage more young leaders to follow in their footsteps. 

Can I watch the event online? 
Live streaming has recently been made available for individuals who are unable to physically attend the Awards Gala. See ticket options!

Can men attend the event?
Yes absolutely! We love having male champions of change attend our events.

What about parking and transport? 

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is an easily accessible venue.

Here's some options...

Travelling by car:
Grey Street is the best drop-off and pick-up point for this event. BCEC also offers up to 1500+ undercover parking spaces which can be accessed via Grey Street.
We recommend Car Park 2 or 3 which has direct lift access to the Plaza Level

Travelling by taxi / rideshare:
Direct drivers to Grey Street as the drop-off point, located at the Convention Centre Grey Street entrance.

Travelling by public transport:
The Cultural Centre Busway and South Bank Busway are 5 minutes walk from BCEC with the South Brisbane Train Station directly adjacent on Grey Street. For CityCat travellers, the South Bank Terminal is located on the riverside promenade which is a 6 minute walk from BCEC.
