2021 SAAA Conference

The South Australian Apiarists’ Association (SAAA) is pleased to announce that its 2021 Conference will be held:
DATES: Thursday 24 & Friday 25 June, 2021 in Berri, SA and will be followed by a Post-Conference Field Day on Saturday 26 June, 2021.
VENUE: Berri Hotel, Riverside Drive, Berri, South Australia
This will be a very special conference as the SAAA is celebrating its 75th year as an Association, having been founded in August 1945.
The conference aims to bring together commercial and recreational beekeepers, researchers, suppliers, peak bodies and other industry leaders and government stakeholders to share knowledge and skills, canvas issues, explore ideas and hear about new innovative practices relevant to apiarists.
The Conference Program will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops and conversation cafes. All Conference tickets include morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
A Conference Dinner will be held on Thursday 24 June, 2021 at the Berri Hotel. The ticket price of $65 includes pre-dinner canapes and a two-course meal.
A Post-Conference Field Day event will be held on the Saturday after the 2021 SAAA Conference. The morning will feature hands-on workshops/masterclasses facilitated by experienced beekeepers. In the afternoon, participants will be engaged in an 'orchard to packet' field excursion to track the journey of the humble almond from the orchard to the retail product, and all steps in between.
A feature of the 2021 Conference will be a Honey Competition. This competition will provide an opportunity for SAAA members to showcase their honey and honey products across a range of categories.
