Meet the research team and your presenters:

Dr Alexandra Williamson
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS)
Dr Alexandra Williamson is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) in the QUT Business School at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). She holds a PhD and a master of business (research) from QUT examining the accountability of philanthropic foundations, and a master of business (philanthropy and social investment) from Swinburne University of Technology. Alex has more than a decade of prior experience working in private Australian philanthropic foundations.

Dr Tracy Xin Qu,
Lecturer, School of Accountancy,
Queensland University of Technology
Dr Tracy Qu is an experienced lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in higher education. She is a dedicated and enthusiastic lecturer at Queensland University of Technology teaching various accounting courses in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research focuses on accounting and corporate governance and her work has been published in high-quality academic journals. Tracy is an education professional with a PhD in accounting from Griffith University, and a member of CPA Australia.

Associate Professor Wendy Scaife,
Director, Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS)
Associate Professor Wendy Scaife is the director of the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) and leads the social-purpose research team in QUT’s Centre for Future Enterprise. Her work at ACPNS spans the cause/giver spectrum including national project leadership of Giving Australia, and a comparison of fundraising in 26 countries. She has also conducted in-depth research on bequests, major gifts, foundation decision making, nonprofit boards, CEOs, and performance measurement as well as about giving to specific areas such as medical research, education, women and girls, Indigenous needs, and the arts.
