After missing out the last 2 years, the Annual Industry Dinner is back for 2022.

The Annual Industry Dinner will be held on Friday 26th August at Mt Duneed Estate from 6:30pm-10:30pm. This event provides an opportunity for undergraduate engineers, industry professionals and academics to network and socialize in a relaxed and friendly environment. This event is open to graduate and undergraduate engineers of any discipline or career stage.

The theme for this year’s Annual Industry Dinner is ‘Unseen Challenges in Engineering’. Throughout the evening there will be a number of presentations from guest speakers and an interactive address from a panel of established engineers.

The Annual Industry Dinner is our society’s most significant event, having hosted attendance from over 150 engineering professionals, industry members, Deakin University lecturers, researchers, alumni and students in previous years. It is considered our students’ best chance at meeting their future employer, securing an internship or simply just getting to know familiar faces in the local industry.

Your ticket to the evening includes a formal 2 course meal with complimentary beer and wine. This event has a formal dress code.

The host of the event (Club) and the venue, reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event in the circumstance that COVID-related restrictions and requirements render the event not feasible. The club will act in the best interests of all ticket holders through consultation with our venues to ensure the safety of patrons, in the unlikely circumstance that the event is cancelled a refund will be provided to the ticket purchaser.
There is no refund or exchange on any Ticket except as required by law and as otherwise specified by the Event Holder. If a refund is made, the club to the extent permitted by law may retain any booking fee or other fees and charges that have been charged to you.
As per VIC DHHS Covid-19 guidelines, all ticket sales are subject to a refund, or transfer to another person (minus booking fee) where a ticket holder has been instructed to quarantine by the Department of Health.
