Overseas Visitors - KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

If you plan to travel internationally to attend the APEN conference, please seek further information in regards to the process for internationals/visa applications here: http://www.border.gov.au/Busi/...

This website also lists the offices where visa applications can be lodged. While visa applications can often be lodged at the nearest Australian mission, the Border Force list includes a comprehensive list of other agents. The DFAT staff at post generally do not process any visas - it is all done by the Department of Immigrations and Citizenship / Australian Border Force. This is different to many other countries where their embassy staff issue visas, so it is good to be aware of that difference.
