Want to support our current Firsts Netball and Firsts Rugby teams vs traditional local derby rivals JPC from the Saturday morning sidelines?

A frustrating combination of ongoing wet weather, severely waterlogged fields, and player absences due to lingering COVID cases and a rampant winter flu, has wreaked havoc on recent TAS Sport fixtures.

Therefore, we could only offer a ‘date claimer’ for this year’s Local Derby TAS Sport Alumni Supporters Round UNTIL NOW, and ask that interested past students PLEASE RSVP for catering purposes, but stay tuned for an event confirmation or cancellation notice 2-3 days beforehand.

Maybe we end up with a small (but happy) band of alumni supporters on the Saturday!

We appreciate your patience and understanding with the difficulties we have trying to plan these events early, with so many elements beyond our control.

What: Canterbury College vs John Paul College - Local Derby: TAS Sport Alumni Supporters Round.

Watching the Girls Netball First VII Clash AND Boys Rugby First XV Showdown.

When: 10:00am – 1:00pm, THIS Saturday 4 June 2022.

NB: We will try to schedule the Girls Netball Firsts AND Boys Rugby Firsts fixtures so that both can be watched.

*NEWSFLASH: Due to JPC not having all rugby teams available, the Rugby Firsts game will be at 10:15am, while the Firsts Netball match is at 11:00am.*

Where: Base Camp - Canterbury Alumni ‘Taipans Turf’ Marquee – P Block Rear Pergola (Overlooking Ovals), Canterbury College.

Girls Netball First VII Clash – Court 1, Canterbury Sports Hall.

Boys Rugby First XV Showdown – Field 3, Number 2 Oval.

Who: For ALL Canterbury Past Students & Partners.

Cost: FREE!

NB: The previously announced $10 Charity Car Wash has now been postponed until Term 3 vs Ormiston College J/TAS Sport Round.
