THE CASE FOR WATER REFORM: BEING PREPARED FOR EXTREME EXTREMES

The Annual Peter Cullen Lecture, jointly presented by the University of Canberra and Griffith University in partnership with the Peter Cullen Trust, continues the legacy of Peter Cullen, who cared deeply about the link between water, the environment and Indigenous culture and was a highly skilled communicator of science and evidence informed policy.

We are delighted to announce that Rachel Connell will be presenting the 2022 Annual Peter Cullen Lecture

Rachel Connell is Head of Division, Water Reform Taskforce, with the Commonwealth Department Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water (DCEEW) and the Deputy Chair of the Murray—Darling Basin Officials Committee. Prior to her role with the Commonwealth, Rachel led the regional water portfolio for the NSW Government with responsibility for strategy, policy, science, modelling, planning and regulation.

Rachel will be introduced by Stuart Bunn of the Australian Rivers Institute with Q&A moderated by Professor Ross Thompson, Centre for Applied Water Science, University of Canberra.
