REMEMBRANCE DAY FOR LOST SPECIES

Please note: This is the date for Kinfolk Gathering and the self-guided activity takes place prior to this gathering.

The global Remembrance Day for Lost Species has taken place for over a decade on November 30th.

Do you feel the uncomfortable heart-felt sensations for species extinction and the pain of our world?

This event invites you to participate in a 'reconnecting with nature' practice, create an 'artwork' for an online gallery, and join in an event to come together as a collective, transition feelings, and share our creative expression and reflections. You do not have to be an artist! In fact, it can be an advantage if you are not!

This experience contains 3 parts:

Participants may choose to engage in a self-guided ecopsychology practice and eco-art creative expression component to create their 'artwork.'
Share an image or 2 (per participant) of your creative expression and a short reflection of your experience. More details are provided in the booking confirmation email.
Join the optional online Kinfolk Gathering on Monday 21st November, 2022. 6-8pm (AEST-Melbourne Australia time)

The link to a webpage includes readings and links, and steps you through the process which includes consent, multi-sensing, re-connecting, and gratitude. Please set aside at least an hour unhurried outdoors to fully engage in the NSTP practice. Greensong ecopsychology practices do not focus on providing a lot of information, rather providing tools and experiences to explore, connect, relate, reflect, and sense your own self as part of the whole. You are invited to express yourself creatively however you choose within the practice or after completing it and add to the online gallery.

Sliding Scale: From $30 - All 100% of profits will go to organisations who protect threatened species and forests from VicForest logging.

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR:

Deb Punton - Greensong is an ecopsychologist, environmental educator, and permaculture landscape designer. She has facilitated S.O.S (Sustainability of Self) groups on-line and in-person focusing on living with the challenges of the climate and ecological emergency. She practices sacred activism and is passionate about building our relationships with our more-than-human world.
