Dust off your rods - the Charlton's Fishing Springfield Lakes Pest Fishing Competition returns on Sunday 3rd December 2023. Come along and help reduce pest fish numbers in Spring Lake, with your chance to win great prizes for doing so.

This event has been organised by Brisbane Valley Anglers Fishstocking Association (BVAFA). 2 Bent Rods will be leading the event management on BVAFA’s behalf.

The event is supported by Lendlease, Ipswich City Council, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Biosecurity and Freshwater Fish Stocking Association of Qld. It will be strictly managed under a Biosecurity Queensland pest fishing permit through fishing event management group 2 Bent Rods, to create awareness of noxious fish species and their impact on the local biodiversity.

There will be education sessions provided on the pest species during registration for the event, as well as trained helpers to assist you to correctly dispose of catches in the dedicated waste bins provided.
